Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Fair Match ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Fair Match. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users found to be underage. The Service is intended for individuals seeking genuine personal connections and is not available to convicted sex offenders.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You may not create more than one account or create an account on behalf of another person without their consent.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Upload photos of anyone other than yourself
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Send unsolicited commercial messages (spam)
• Post sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise illegal content
• Use the Service for commercial solicitation or prostitution
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Service
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or compromise the Service's security
• Use the Service while under the influence in a way that harms others

Violations may result in immediate account termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, bio, messages). By posting content, you grant Fair Match a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content solely to operate the Service. You represent that you have the right to post all content you submit and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid subscriptions (Plus, Gold, Platinum) are billed monthly via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your Profile page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law. Prices are displayed in EUR and may change with 30 days' notice.

7. Safety

Fair Match is not responsible for the conduct of users on or off the platform. We strongly encourage you to: meet in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and trust your instincts. Report any concerning behaviour using the in-app Report button. We review all reports and take appropriate action, including banning users.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, that other users are who they claim to be, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Fair Match does not conduct criminal background checks on users.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fair Match shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
